AMIN operates with the following goals and objectives in mind:

****  To create a family-friendly platform that brings Muslims together in an open-minded, non-judgmental and all-inclusive environment to build social bonds of friendship and trust that will create a stronger faith and support community.

****  To encourage exchange of ideas and dialogue and to promote unity amongst Muslims and acceptance of the diversity that exists among us. Encourages solidarity by working together collectively as Muslims allowing us to embrace our Muslim identity.

****  To work collectively as a Muslim community to put a "human face" to Islam and Muslims that is respected, understood, and invited into mainstream American society, reflecting the positive teachings and understandings of Islam, such as strong communities, respect for one another and community partnerships.

****  To create avenues for participation in interfaith and multicultural outreach, thus encouraging people to think of alternative ways to discuss faith/religion built on respect, tolerance and mutual collaboration.

****  To provide members with opportunities to participate in charitable, volunteer and educational initiatives, allowing Muslims to give back to the American community at large.

****  To promote civic/public engagement and empowerment within the Muslim community through partnerships with other leading organizations, groups and institutions who share similar values for promoting engagement.
